De ce sa fiu impotriva democratiei? Britanicii au venit aici si ne-au tinut fara democratie pana aproape de plecarea lor. Cu toate astea nu pot sa conduc sistemul meu bazat pe regulile lor. Trebuie sa-l modific pentru a satisface conditiile locale ale poporului meu. In societatile multirasiale nu votezi in acord cu interesul tau social si economic, ci in acord cu rasa si religia ta. In caz ca as conduce sistemul de aici cu regulile lor, malaii ar vota pentru musulmani, indienii pentr indieni si chnezii pentru chinezi. As avea o confruntare permanenta in Parlament care n-ar fi rezolvata pentru ca majoritatea chineza i-ar domina pe ceilalti. In concluzie am gasit o formula care schimba acesta...
